NRNA Thailand Forms New Coordination Committee, Accelerates Preparations for Global Convention

Bangkok, March 2025 — The newly formed Coordination Committee of Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Thailand held its first official meeting on March 20, 2025, via Zoom. The meeting saw active participation from committee members and representatives, and focused on planning and intensifying preparations for the upcoming NRNA International General Convention, scheduled for May 3–5, 2025.
The session began with a review of the recent meeting held with Dr. Shesh Ghale on March 14, where he encouraged the Thailand team to prioritize programs focused on the upcoming global convention and to move forward with a clear strategic plan. This suggestion was welcomed by the committee.
To enhance the effectiveness of the preparations, the committee decided to:
- Accelerate the membership registration campaign
- Ensure registration completion by March 31
- Improve the consistency and effectiveness of information dissemination
- Expand outreach and coordination efforts
As part of strengthening its leadership and streamlining its strategy, a new Coordination Committee has been formed under the leadership of Mr. Sanjay Dhakal. The committee includes:
- Deputy Coordinator: Mr. Mahendra Shrestha
- Secretaries: Mr. Suraj Bhandari and Mr. Lokendra Oli
- Members: Mr. Akkal Thapa, Mr. Dinesh Budhathoki, and Mr. Raju Balami
During the meeting, the officials expressed their commitment to strengthening both regional and international coordination and pledged to ensure Thailand’s strong and effective participation in the upcoming international convention.
The meeting commenced at 12:00 PM and concluded at 1:05 PM.
