Sanjay Dhakal Appointed as Coordinator of NRNA Thailand
Bangkok, March 24, 2025 (Chaitra 11, 2081 B.S.) — Sanjay Dhakal, a resident of Thailand, has been appointed as the Coordinator of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Thailand by the High-Level Committee formed under the direction of the Supreme Court of Nepal.
The appointment follows the Supreme Court’s verdict on writ petition no. 079-WO-1505 concerning the 10th NRNA General Assembly. The decision was made during the committee’s fifth meeting held on Chaitra 11, 2080 B.S. (March 24, 2025).
The committee entrusted Mr. Dhakal with the responsibility of membership coordination and distribution among the Nepali diaspora in Thailand, aiming to promote unity, purpose, and efficiency within the NRNA Thailand chapter.
This strategic appointment comes in preparation for the upcoming unification-focused General Assembly and Elections scheduled for Baisakh 20–22, 2082 B.S. (May 3–5, 2025). The committee emphasized the need for strong representation and effective management ahead of the event.
Committee Secretary Janaki Guru officially informed Mr. Dhakal of his appointment through an official letter and extended best wishes for his successful tenure.
